Educational Requirements
LPN educational programs are typically one year in length and include clinical practice in a hospital or other health care setting and classroom study that covers basic nursing content including: anatomy; physiology; medication administration; nutrition; and first aid. Some LPN programs are available to high school students through BOCES, while most are offered to adults via BOCES, community colleges, or four-year colleges.
